With all the massive tech layoffs, new graduates coming in, and evolution of the UX discipline… Are we truly congested in this industry right now??

Applying for a job every single day, hour, minute

Within the next week comes a rejection email…

Rejection emails almost feel like a Dark Souls death. Very normal.

Rinse. Repeat. I think we need a rejection counter right now like how we have a death counter for each time we die in Dark Souls. Trust me.

I’m just writing all of this for shits and giggles. Frustrating, I know. But hey — just like this game, it’s possible to get through! Take a look at your “build”. Do you have a specialization? What are your current weaknesses? Do you know what you’re already good at?

If you stand out in a particular field, you may be the right person for a role! There are so many industries that are looking for UX designers, they’re not picking and grabbing just anybody like a crane game.

Baby blocks

Think of it like this baby blocks toy. If the shape fits, right? If you are aiming for a “shape” of your choice, refine yourself so you would be a perfect fit for it.
